Catering Policies

Special Request Menus

We are always willing to create custom menus for our clients and view our catering menu as a starting point. We use only the freshest ingredients available to insure you will consistently find “that special something” on the menu.

Taste Tests

Taste test are available on Mondays from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and must be prearranged. There is no fee for a taste test for clients who have already booked and placed a deposit on an event. Client's requesting a taste test who have not booked an event maybe assessed a $10.00/person fee. If an event is booked the fee will be applied towards the event. Due to the number of requests, taste tests are offered for events of 100 guests or more.

Rentals and Event Planning

Tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, flatware, and more are available at additional cost for off-premise catering. The venue you choose may provide tables and chairs. The final cost of rental equipment is subject to selection of specific items needed. Delivery charges may apply and are subject to venue accessibility and regulation. Rental equipment and rental delivery charges are subject to applicable sales taxes and 18% service charge.

Event Planning is available at no cost for up to 8 hours time. Additional time is billed at $50.00 per hour.

Labor Charges and Fees

Our servers are available at $40.00 per hour per server. Chef services are $50.00 per hour per chef. These rates are doubled on holidays. Please inquire with questions about specific dates. Our server's fees include delivery, set-up, event service, and clean up. There is a four hour minimum per server.

Service Guidelines
Sit Down Dinners: 1 Server per 8-10 people plus 1-2 kitchen personnel
Buffet Service: 1 Server per 15-20 people
2 Servers per 15-20 people if beverage service is required

Applicable sales taxes and an 18% service charge are added to all food and beverage charges (service charge is used to offset administrative/breakage/
wear/replacement costs). Gratuity is always appreciated, but not required.

A deposit of $250.00 is required to secure your date and will be applied to the balance due. The deposit is non-refundable unless cancelled in writing 30 business days prior to the scheduled event. If cancelled in writing 15 business days before your event your deposit will be applied in full to a future event of equal or greater value.

For guest counts fewer than 50 people there may be an add-on fee to reach our minimum food dollar amount.

The client minimum guarantee number of guests may be increased but not decreased. Final count and final payment is due 10 days prior to the event. Menu selections may be changed and/or count increased up to 5 days prior to the event. Menu changes may increase the price of the event.

Food not prepared by Catered by Colette is not allowed to be served with our catered foods unless a waiver is signed by the customer, with the exception of desserts such as wedding cakes purchased from a licensed bakery.


Drop-off delivery fees start at $50.00 and include 15 minutes set up time on site. Food may be delivered to the location of your choice. Bulk food will be packaged in disposable containers priced at $1.50 each. Delivery charges are based on a delivery area not more than 30 miles from our kitchen. All charges are subject to applicable sales taxes and an 18% service charge.

Set up and pick up delivery fees (this includes set-up using our non-disposable chafers and other equipment mandated by your menu, and pick-up of said equipment the following business day) start at $150.00. A cash or credit card deposit may be required to assure the undamaged return of our equipment. All charges are subject to applicable sales taxes and an 18% service charge.

Important Notes

We can not guarantee the quality of foods held or served beyond two hours after set-up time. The client will not hold Catered by Colette responsible for food quality for delays on the client's behalf in serving food, or delays due to acts of God, such as bad weather.

For the health and safety of our guests, temperature-sensitive foods must remain with the caterer at the end of your event. Non-sensitive foods that remain on the buffet line may be packaged for you to take upon request.

Some venues charge an additional fee, typically a percentage of food and beverage sales. These fees will be passed on to the client.

Catered by Colette does not accept on-site staff provided by the client with the exception of bartenders associated with a licensed and bonded alcoholic beverage provider.


We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express, which incur a handling fee of 3.5%. Personal checks are accepted up to 14 days prior to the event.


Catered by Colette assumes no responsibility for property damages occurred by you, your guests, or outside vendors. Catered by Colette assumes no financial responsibility for property damages incurred at the time of your event regardless of where this event takes place, i.e. your home or any outside establishment chosen by you. Catered by Colette is fully licensed and insured.
